Hi guys! I'm new to this whole blogging deal, but I'm eager to dive in. To that end I'm doing my first link up: Neely and Ashley's Sunday Social. I'm hoping this will be a great way to discover some amazing new blogs. So, on to the questions!
Favorite Movie of All Time?
I feel like this is an impossible question to answer (does that make me a failure on my very first try?!) For the life of me I've never been able to pick a fave movie, book, song, etc. I guess I'm indecisive to the extreme! Really, though, there are so many great movies I love for different reasons.
Some I've watched a gazillion times include Clueless, Sleepless in Seattle, Ever After, The Godfather Trilogy, The Cutting Edge, Dirty Dancing, Mallrats, The Hangover, Grease, The Sound of Music, and Bridget Jones' Diary.
Favorite Movie Quote?
Again...hard to narrow it down. Here are a few of my faves (and, yeah, they're mostly about love):
"You are the perfect verse over a tight beat." - Brown Sugar
"It was a million tiny things that, when you added them all up, they meant we were supposed to be together...and I knew it. I knew it the very first time I touched her. It was like coming home...only to no home I'd ever known. I was just taking her hand to help her out of a car and I knew. It was like...magic." - Sleepless in Seattle (although my fave scene from this movie is Rita Wilson describing An Affair to Remember)
"When you fall in love, it is a temporary madness. It erupts like an earthquake, and then it subsides. And when it subsides, you have to make a decision. You have to work out whether your roots have become so entwined together that it is inconceivable that you should ever part." - Captain Corelli's Mandolin
"No, I mean I like you very much. Just as you are." - Bridget Jones' Diary
"A couple of smokes, a cup of coffee, and a little bit of conversation. You and me and five bucks" - Reality Bites
Best Movie for Girls' Night In?
Any of the above would work!
Best Breakup Movie?
The Break-Up, Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind, 500 Days of Summer, Sliding Doors, Sex and the City, and, for a What Not to Do (or It Could Be Worse!) The War of the Roses.
Favorite Celeb Eye Candy?
Josh Duhamel. Love.
Which Movie Star's Closet Would You Want to Raid?
Casual or all dolled up, I think Gwyneth Paltrow almost always looks fab.
Of course, if I'm getting her closet I could also use her
tall, willowy frame.
Thanks so much for visiting and a
big thanks to Neely and Ashley for hosting!
I would also like to wish all the dads out there a very Happy Father's Day, especially mine. I'm biased, but he's pretty much the best. Ever. Ti voglio bene PapĂ ...tantissimo.
